I had a lot of good times hanging with Cornwell. I'd love to know how he passed.

I got into a fight with Cornwell over something so stupid I can't even remember our Junior year in the Library. We got broke up and ended up in Davenport's office. Although Greg had a bloody nose and I had a big welt under my eye, we told Davenport that we were good buddies and were just playing. (We hardly knew each other at that time) Luckily he just sent us home for the day. From then on, every time Greg and I passed in the hall he always shook his fist at me and smiled real big. It got to be a good joke between us .. we would pass each other and shake our fists and smile. I saw him once .. a year or two after we graduated and we had a good laugh about how two guys could both have such busted up faces and get off by saying "we were just playing". Greg was a good guy that always seemed to have a smile on his face (when not fighting). I'm glad I met you Greg, although I wish I didn't have to get a black eye while doing so. Rest in peace my friend.

I played basketball with Greg our Sophomore year. He was a fantastic guy who always had the biggest smile on his face. I saw part of that fight in the library and I thought I saw him grinning then. Rest in peace Greg. Sorry you are gone. The world needs more happy people like you!!!!!

Greg Cornwell was a great basketball player. He was on the team at South in 78 and won the championship that year. Greg was always fun to be around . He was the life of the party. Miss you Greg.
