I Wrestled with Mike in our Freshman and Sophmore years. He always wanted to be a great wrestler like his big brother Greg. He did just that, becoming a two time State Champion. Mike was a little guy that carried himself like he was 10 feet tall.

Mike showed me how to drive a car sitting on the passenger side making it look like no one was driving. Neat trick. I passed it on.

I always enjoyed watching Mike wrestle, and as Chip said, he was very good! You are missed Mike.

The stairway in the photo is in OUR LADY OF LIGHT CHAPEL or (Loretto Chapel), in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Originally the chapel had a design flaw: a conventional stairway to the choir loft could not be installed without adversely impacting the limited chapel seating as well as its aesthetics, so no stairway was ever built.
Seeking Divine guidance the Sisters made a Novena ( a devotion consisting of nine separate days of prayers) to their patron Saint, Saint Joseph the Carpenter. As legend has it, upon the ninth and final day of the Novena a mysterious carpenter arrived and designed and constructed a circular stairway to the choir loft.
This "Miraculous Stairway" contains 33 steps (the same number of years Jesus lived) in two full 360 degree turns. The stairway has no center support nor is it held from its sides (the same as an alpha helix, the building block of life) and its full weight rests on its first step. Upon completion of the stairway the mysterious carpenter who built it disappeared without seeking payment. He left with no more than his donkey and the tools he used; a saw, a T- square, a hammer, and the tubs he used in which to soak the wood. It was built in the mid 1870's. Architects and engineers to this day marvel at it's design; There is no known duplicate of this " Miraculous Stairway" and its design anywhere...
Yes that is Anna's elbow in the lower left.
