This is a nice way to say hi to those from the past we have memories of "helping us" grow.....

I agree Billinda! I hope this message forum catches on, and we can continue conversations for many years to come.

hello everyone. How many of you got out your class books to "remember". I know I did. Listen i have been wondering what happened to Fred Hein and Jody Greibel. Has anyone heard from them? Maybe have an idea of how to talk to them? I just want to say hello. I will not be at the reunion. I just discovered 2 weeks ago what this week is... so coming from Illinois it is difficult. Everyone have fun and dress warm for the game!!(It has been in the 40's here at night) and thanks for setting up this site. It is a little more personal then classmates. Margaret

I am excited about coming to the reunion and visiting old haunts in Wichita...at least what's left! LOL!!!! I haven't been back in about 10 years or so. The memories are bittersweet, mostly because of relationships I let dwindle away. Looking forward to seeing everyone and getting to know all about their current lives! See you all soon....

Looking forward to going out for the game tomorrow, and I hope to see many of you there. If anyone's looking for something to do afterward, some good friends of mine will be playing some bluegrass at the Studio Bar (just East of the River on Harry) No cover charge and a very laid back, peaceful atmosphere. I'm only saying...

I think bluegrass sounds awesome! Maybe we can get a bunch to go.

It was so great to see all of you at the reunion! I had an awesome time getting caught up on everyone's lives! Do we have the best class ever or what? I'm amazed at how close so many of us have remained. And you folks that married either your high school sweetheart or right out of high school that are still together...what a testimony! Congrats! Let's all keep our information updated so we don't lose touch ok? If anyone would like Mark Elliott's email address, I have it. He says hello to everyone, wishes he could have been at the reunion (he's in Iraq), and that he thinks of us often. Even though he didn't graduate from South, there are many of us that have great memories of Mark before he went to Mulvane. Talk to ya'll later!

Thank you to the reunion committee - IT WAS A BLAST! I know I've been out of school for 25 years and can't party like I'm in high-school ANYMORE! Sorry I missed everyone at the picnic - DRANK LIKE I WAS 18 again!!! (lol); It was so nice seeing everyone and hope to keep in touch!!!

Thanks to everyone who has gotten in touch with me. Im proud to be an "Honorary" Titan. Iv'e been in Iraq over a year now, it's gotten to be a real grind and your letters are a real pick me up. Thanks again! Oh... am I the ONLY one who remembers Pepper Parties?

I remember Pepper Parties at Friends University! Joni and I would go and apparently meet up with you! Oh, they just don't have fun stuff like that anymore. The only fun things my son does is go to ball games and the movies.

Marcia.... ahem... I seem to remember YOU meeting up with someone there. In the pool?

Margaret Qualls

ok---what is a pepper party!

They were basically open-gym nights at Friends University sponsored by Dr. Pepper. They had games, swimming, I think a DJ, and of course...free dr. pepper. Joni and I would always go, and I think Marsha and Karen Sutton too.
And I don't know WHAT Mark is talking about the pool. I know I never swam. I was 14...there was no way I going to get my hair wet!!!!!

11/27/08 12:01 PM #17

Mark Elliott

Marcia... I never said you were swimming. And your right, your hair was perfectly dry. Matter of fact so was Pete's. lol

Okay, I'm responding way late but I also remember pepper parties! I loved them! Yes, Marcia you're right about us going and Mark, yes we'd meet you there. Those were such fun days. I only hope my kids have fond memories about their jr/hi school days! Talk to you guys later. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! ~ Joni

Sorry I didn't make it to the reunion. I live near Milwaukee, WI now. Yah.. brewcity !
I was actually down in Wichita the weekend before that for my oldest son's wedding reception. If I had known about this site I would have tried to prolong the stay!
I am so bad about losing touch with everyone. I hope to go to the next reunion. I have sent out some messages and hope to hear back.

This site has been awesome. Finding friends, that for some unknown reason, we have let drift away from our lives...many years later...I suppose fond memories and new ones to come!!!

Does anyone else remember loving TPing?! I remember getting caught with in Delana's car (I think we were taking for sale signs but don't tell anyone). Thank goodness we didn't get into trouble. I got TP'd at my house when I turned the big 4-O! I brought a big smile to my face (not turning forty, but getting tp'd again!) Hope everyone's fine!

Miss ya, glad I got to see you last visit in Wichita. Remember, bring the kids down and go to six flags...my house is always open! Love ya
