I researched Lorene Fred's death, and here is what was reported on the Find-a-Grave site: Lori (Lorene) Fred Love "died on August 17, 2007. Her Body was lost at sea. Specifically, Plane went down on a flight from Nigeria to Ghana and body was not recovered."

Ir sounds as though Lorene died with the same challenging zeal and spontaneity with which she lived. She and I were "only children" of "older" parents. When she moved into the North district it wasn't easy for her to make friends as a junior or senior, I think. She was intelligent and witty, but rebellious, with little regard to social norms. I hope she used those qualities to improve our world; I lost touch with her by 1969. Itt appears that she might have. We spent many hours together in our senior year. Her mantra at that time was "Nothing is Impossible!" She made me more brave. She allowed me to explore my own assumed boundaries. I am thankful for that. As we age, I pray for you who read this, that we find God's Divine Call for our own lives. Seek the Lord's Divine Hope for us that we live with th enthusiastic drive, but only for His Good, not to miss the opportunity to include the lost, the hurt, those who are new or unique. As children of the '60's we know that, but in our comfort I pray we can live it out. I'm so sorry I couldn't share that with my friend of 1968, "Lori", this year.We will miss her.
