Marjorie Patrick (Teacher)

Marjorie Ruth Patrick (Woodin) Arnold, age 93, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014.  She was a lifetime resident of Wichita. Marjorie graduated from North High School and Wichita Municipal University. During World War II, she served in the American Military Red Cross. She earned an M.A. in Adult Guidance and Counseling from Wichita State and an M. S. in Adult Education from Kansas State University. She was the Adult Vocational Counselor for the Wichita Area Vocational Technical College from 1976 until 1983 when she retired. Marjorie was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wichita and was its most tenured member. She was a member of the D.J. Chapter of P.E.O., Sorosis Society at Wichita State (Delta Delta Delta), Lambda Tau Delta, the Wichita Historical Society, and Friends of Wesley Hospital. She was the first girl (and the first twin) born in Wesley Hospital at their current location.
