Edwin Moreland (Teacher)

Edwin C. Moreland, 76, born on Jan. 13, 1930, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006. Edwin shared his love of learning and teaching at Emporia State University, where he served as a Social Sciences professor for 31 years. He was a familiar sight at the university track and on Emporia streets as he was an avid runner. He loved his family and a good conversation and most Sunday dinners included both. The son of a minister, he served as an interim pastor in many small churches during his lifetime. (Wichita Eagle, February 16, 2006)
