J. Warren Williams, 45, Palatine, Ill., formerly of Wichita, employee of Science Research Associates, Chicago died Monday, February 24, 1975 of natural causes. (Wichita Eagle, February 16, 1975)

Counselor Joins Research Group (West Word, December 10, 1965)

“I’m sorry to leave, but it’s one of those ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ opportunities,” explained Mr. J.W. Williams, senior counselor.

Mr. Williams is planning to leave West and become staff associate sales representative for Kansas for Science Research Associates. His job will involve selling psychological and other types of tests to schools.

SRA is owned by IBM and is the largest company of its kind. National Merit and American College Tests are examples of their products.

“I’ll be working with counselors, teachers and administrators all over the state, but I won’t be directly associated with counseling,” he stated.

Mr. Williams, now in his third year at West, received a B.A. degree in psychology at Wichita State and a master’s degree in counseling and education at Kansas State Teacher’s College of Emporia.

Dec. 23 will be Mr. Williams’ last day here. He will leave Jan. 1 for Chicago where he will receive orientation instruction.
