Diana Timmons (Teacher)

Diana W. Woods, 72, of Marshall, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, in the Skilled Nursing Unit of Fitzgibbon Hospital. Born Sept. 12, 1939, in Westboro, she was the daughter of the late Delmer E. Williams and Mary Woolsey Williams Schroeder. She was a graduate of Marshall High School and the University of Kansas. She was an educator most of her life, teaching English and Literature. On July 8, 1977, she married John Woods Jr. who preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 2006. Diana lived in Marshall since 1993, and was very active in civic affairs. She was a member of the P.E.O. Chapter GM, The Monday Club, Friends of Arrow Rock, Marshall Community Chorus and was an avid reader and bridge player.
