Stephen Mark Jordan, Sr.
April 12, 1949 - August 2, 2021
Wichita, Kansas - Stephen Mark Jordan, Sr., 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 2, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. A life-long Wichitan, he was born to Earnest Allyn Jordan, Sr., and Doris Irene (Holman) Jordan on April 12, 1949. He was raised on a ten acre farm on Maple Street in a nurturing, loving and caring family devoted to each other. Growing up on the family farm, Stephen developed a love of gardening which continued throughout his life. He attended scouting, loved camping and was an avid athlete. Stephen studied Fire Science at Wichita State University after graduating from high school and proudly served as a Wichita firefighter/first-responder from 1968-1979. He would eventually become an entrepreneur - innovating and owning Jordan Company, Inc., one of the midwest region's top commercial insulation companies since 1974, longtime member of WABA, Wichita Area Builders Association and ICAA, Insulation Contractors Association of America.
