Orlando, Florida - Heaven got a bit brighter when Robert Lewis Ross, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away at the age of 71 on January 13th, 2021.


Robert "Bob" was born to Robert Clifton and Ethel Ruth Ross (Edwards) in Wichita, Kansas on Valentine's Day 1949. After attending West High School, he worked for Cessna then proudly served his country for 4 years as Air Force Military Police in Vietnam and Wichita Falls, TX. Upon returning to Wichita, he worked for 30+ years as a cable splicer for SWB/SWBT/AT&T and loved playing on the company softball team. He received an Associate's Degree from Friends University in 2001. Bob retired to Florida, and Mildred (Montgomery) was soon to follow. Together, they enjoyed attending Tampa Bay Rays baseball, Tampa Bay Buccaneers football, the beaches, and visiting the Universal Studios Boardwalk. Bob was the proud father of two boys, and he relished his role as grandfather and great-grandfather.


Bob was known for his quick wit, dry sense of humor, humility, and never wanting to inconvenience anyone. He enjoyed a love of music and was an avid sports fan, especially the Cardinals, Sooners, and Raiders.
