Julia "Cookie" Lake, 55, of Leawood, KS, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at St. Joseph Health Center following a prolonged battle with systemic lupus. Cookie was born September 23, 1949, in Wichita, KS. She attended High School in Wichita and then attended Clarke College in Dubuque, IA. Cookie served as a Flight Attendant for Braniff Airlines and then as an Office Manager for Dr. Kelly Toombs. Cookie was a generous, loving and giving mother and grandmother who brought great joy and love to her family. (Kansas City Star, July 7, 2005)
