Albert Hitt

Albert was born on March 8, 1949 in Madill, Oklahoma. He was the son of Leonard Albert and Thelma Ruth (Black) Hitt. As a young man Al was raised in Wichita, Kansas attending school at Dodge Elementary, Mayberry Junior High and later graduated from West High School in Wichita. Al was later drafted into the service of his country during the Vietnam War serving in the United States Marine Corps. Al was later honorably discharged and returned to the Wichita, Kansas area. He accepted employment as a welder in a fabrication shop in Wichita where he worked for several years. He later began working and opened American Sprinkler Company. During this time Al worked as a sub contractor installing sprinkler systems at new locations for Quick Trip. In the early 1990ís, Al moved to the Cleveland area where he purchased some property near Boston Pool. Al worked clearing the land and later built his home where he was currently residing. Al was a very hard worker as well as a soft hearted and soft spoken man. He had a heart of gold willing to help others in any way possible. One of his many dreams was getting his garage built so that he would be able to teach his son Jesse how to work and repair autos. Al was an automotive enthusiast to say the least and was looking forward working side by side with Jesse teaching him what he knew. Albert passed from this life on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the Cleveland Area Hospital at the age of sixty-one years, ten months and one day.
