Martin (Marty) J. Grzegorczyk, 39, of Chicago, IL, passed away at Northwestern University Hospital surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Martin was born on February 23, 1972 in Racine, WI and was the son of Walter Grzegorczyk and Kathleen Bogert.

Marty graduated from Wilmot High School and received a Computer Science and Computer Programming degree from UW-Madison. He was married to Lyn Torres in June of 2006. That union later dissolved, but they remained good friends.

Marty was a brilliant and talented professional who started his career with Anderson Consulting and worked for several consulting firms, including Solutions Consulting and Perot Systems. At the time of his death, Marty was a valued employee of Dell. An avid Badgers, Bears and Cubs fan, Marty loved his sports! He also loved music, reading, travel and scuba diving.

Marty was a wonderful son. He was also protective and proud of his little sister, Ava Wilson (Jason). Marty is survived by his father, Walter Grzegorczyk (Sandra Johnson), mother, Kathleen Bogert-Arnwine (Randy Arnwine), Grandfather Bill Bogert, Aunts and Uncles: Angela (Jim) Ellsworth, Mary Hepburn, Diane (James Honaker) Grzegorczyk, Theresa (Tim) Revis, Billy Bogert, Pat (Tom) Lux, Marty Bogert, and many cousins. He is preceded in death by Grandmothers Jean Bogert and Zofia Grzegorczyk, Grandfather Marion Grzegorczyk, Uncle Jon Grzegorczyk and Aunt Mary (Mickey) Bogert.
