John H. Trux, III

Trux III, John Harris Age 62, passed away on June 28th, 2014 in Batavia, IL. John was born inSummit, NJ on April 6th, 1952. John is survived by his mother, Virginia Zebold Trux; and by two sisters, Gerri (Rob) Kirby, and their sons, Stephen, Michael and Andrew, and Virginia Trux and her daughters, Taylor and Durley; and his children, Philip, Sebastian, Roxanne and Jeffrey, and their mother, Charlotte Trux. He waspreceded in death by his father, John Harris Trux, Jr.; and brother, Jeffrey Robert Trux. John attended New Trier High School and served our country in the US Navy, being awarded the American Spirit Honor Medal, for the display of outstanding qualities of leadership, best expressing the American Spirit, Honor, Initiative and Loyalty. As a Sales Executive at Marketing Information Systems, Inc. John was first introduced to International Sales. John joined Cognizant Technology Solutions in 1999 and took great pride in receiving several awards for his pivotal contributions to its early growth stages both in the United States and Europe. He concluded his career as Senior Director, Head of Sales, Continental Europe with Cognizant until his health forced him to retire early in 2013. Memorial Services will be held at the Winnetka Presbyterian Church, 1255 Willow Rd., Winnetka, IL on Saturday, July 19th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. So sorry I missed this memorial service. I remember how, as a kid, John loved his parents, sister Geri, and other family. He and I had not been in touch for many years, but I remember him as a romantic and lovely boy and young man. I hope that his marriage and fatherhood were happy--everything that a good man wants and deserves, and that he didn't suffer in his final illness. I've made a donation to Dreams for Kids in his memory.
