Charles R. 'Chuck' Hooper



Charles R. "Chuck" Hooper, 56, of Center Street in Wolfeboro, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro.

Chuck was a native and life-long resident, of Wolfeboro. He was born Nov. 15, 1956, the son of the late Ralph and Arlene "Dolly" ( Haines) Hooper.

He was a graduate of Kingswood Regional High School in Wolfeboro. Following high school he served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Texas. For the past several years he had worked as a painter for Gary Frank and other painting contractors in Wolfeboro.

Chuck was a member of the American Legion, Harriman Hale Post 18 in Wolfeboro. He was an avid Boston sports fan, he enjoyed playing horseshoes, listening to music and loved being with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Charles R. Hooper, Jr., of Wolfeboro; his daughter, Jennifer Hooper, of North Conway; his grandchildren, Kayla and Kaylee Hooper and Brendan Hooper, of Wolfeboro, and Desiree Gould, Eatheen Gould and Aiden Dawe, all of North Conway; his brothers, Thomas Hooper and his wife, Dorothy, of Wilmington, N.C., and Bill Hooper and his wife, Gloria, of Wolfeboro; nieces and nephews. He also leaves his fiancé, Tina Thyng, of Wolfeboro.

There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 4, at 1 p.m. in the Wolfeboro Center Cemetery on North Line Road in Wolfeboro.
