Cynthia Sue Carey "Cindy" FARMINGTON - Beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend graduated from her earthly existence October 11, 2005. She spent her life surrounded by her loving family and pets. Cindy was raised in Bountiful, Utah, graduating from Woods Cross High in 1990. Married Chad Checketts on November 2, 1995, later divorced. Cindy resided in Farmington for the last ten years and was a member of the LDS Church. She was a full time student at Weber State University perusing her goal of a career in social work specializing in substance abuse counseling. Cindy will be greatly missed by many. She was truly a unique individual, very bubbly and full of sunshine. Her sense of humor was as unique and fun as she was. She loved music and the learning experience. Special appreciation must be given to Judge John Memmott for his time spent and devotion to the well being of Cindy as it completely turned her life away from the unpleasantness she had experienced. She was a hard worker and devoted mother, survived by her son, who was the light of her life, Michael Brent Checketts of Farmington; mother and step-father Judy and Marty Neilsen of Farmington; brother Richard Michael Carey of Salt lake City; step-brother and sisters, Ryan Neilsen, Nicky Robinson and Catrice Neilsen, and beloved dogs "Frank" and "Bosco" and kitty cat "Lola". Preceded in death by her father, Michael Lloyd Carey, grandmother, "Nana" Helen Crossman, and Cindy's dog, Emily.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 17, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Farmington North Stake Center, 729 W. Sheppard Lane. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
