Bill Soccorsy, I grew up with Bill and went through Elementary, Junior High School and finally High School together. We were in the same Boy Scout Troop. We were both Eagle Scouts. Our families were close and Bill's father was our Scout Leader and my dad was the Troop Chairman. We spent many weekends going on camping trips. We played in bands together and I knew his brother Tony, who played the sax like me. Bill was in Golden Gloves, had been a DC Cop and was a Parole Officer. I remember when I was getting out of service I ran into Bill in D.C. I asked him if I should take White House Police, D.C. Police, FBI, or Secret Service. I was offered jobs with all the agencies. He told me D.C. was so bad at that time I would be better off in. Viet Nam. It appeared on every street a patrol of six cops and dog were on patrol. We will miss Bill and his smile, and always at our reunions. God Bless the family of Bill Soccorsy and let us don't forget him.
