Marilyn L. Poole, 74, of Bloomington, died Friday (Feb. 1, 2019) at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
Marilyn's memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington with Pastor Bonnie Crosier officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday.
Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
Marilyn was born on Feb. 9, 1944 in Chicago to Harold and Josephine Leible Poole.
She is survived by her sister, Beverly Poole, Bloomington; children, Kristine Bestler, Chicago, and Brent (Liz) Cork, Urbana; grandchildren, Meghan and Nicholas Bestler and Elora Cork; and great-granddaughter, Aria Harper.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Marilyn worked at Busey Bank for many years and Barnes & Noble, retiring in 2016. She was an avid reader and was very artistic with her wood working and sewing projects. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
