We had a great time and can't wait until the next! Thanks again to everyone who worked to put this together. I also want to ask anyone that got pics to email them to me. I'll do the same if you would like.

Take care,
Ericka

I would like to thank everyone who had a hand in putting together the great event on Saturday. Although the drive home on Sunday was a challenge, I am so glad that I made the trip home.

Here are a few thoughts that I had during my drive to Virginia Beach on Sunday:

Kudos to whomever thought to invite LaVon. What a refreshing surprise.

We have grandparents among our classmates! I guess I started having kids way too late.

As a class, we have done some amazing things, golfing well is not one them. However, golfing with Corey and Ted was very entertaining. I wish you all could have been witness to their side bets and ensuing trash-talk.

Steve needs to post a few photos to support his claim of "clubbing" in Manhattan.

It was great to see the Class of 88 again. Please look me up if you find yourself in the Virginia Beach area.

We have all done some great things. We have been to far away places, lived in exciting cities, and accomplished much in our personal and professional lives. But I think what Saturday night showed us, showed ME at least, is that it's always good to come home. Thank you for a night that felt like being with family.

It was great to see everyone Saturday. Jamie let me know if you need help on the 25th. And Len with starting late with kids. I look at it like this means with can stay younger longer. And Anita it was a good idea inviting Lavon.

Thank you so much to everyone involved in putting together the class reunion. It was truly enjoyable. You are all to be congratulated for such a great time.

It was a joy to see everyone again. Me and Kim enjoyed everyones company. I hope we are able to see each of you in the near future.

I want to thank Lenny for all of his service to our country. Thanks for finding the time in your busy schedule and coming out. Thanks to Steve for hard work in creating the DVD.

Thanks for everyone who had to travel the distance to get to the reunion. I know how valuable time has become as we get older and carry more responsibilities.

Thanks to all responsible for putting on a great reunion. (Steve, Rex, Sean, Anita, etc.) For so many years you people were like my family. Last Saturday felt as if I were right back in highschool. I hope to keep in touch with you all.

A special thanks to Stacy Oldenberg for the harmonica bush song dedication.

Love you all,
Jo Nelson

T Thanks to all who worked at planning this reunion. It was a really fun day even though we golfed behind the slowest foursome in the history of golf scrambles (you know who you are!!) We did have fun watching you dance after most hits though.....

Stacy R, Anne, Janell, Tami, Steve L...hope you are putting the 25th on your calendars!! And Tony Miller, Joe Farrand--where are you???
I thought it was cool to see Lavon also. I see Mary Yoder at the bank regularly if anyone remembers her too (I don't recall her married name).
Take care everyone, good to see you all. Hope to see more in 2013.

Yeah, yeah. . . thanks to all the people who worked so hard. . .blah, blah, blah. (Kristin said not to write that, but I think sarcasm translates through the written word just fine.) The whole thing was great, and I wish we could do it all again next year at Disney World! But if that doesn’t work I’ll settle for our 25th in Colon. If you need help with planning give John West a call.

If you’re ever up near Grand Rapids give me a call, and Kristin and I will take you out for dinner or coffee.

Stay in touch.

Class of 88,

During Steve's presentation, he mentioned the potential for a group of us running the marathon together. Although I am looking forward to that opportunity, I realize that the time commitment to prepare for 26.2 miles may be greater than what some of us can afford. Luckily, several marathons have multiple distances such as 10K and 1/2 marathon on the same day. If there is interest, I will begin a search for a few races that span multiple distances. A good target would be late spring or early fall of next year.

If you are interested and have any specific races or distances in mind, shoot me an email or post a response.

Cheers,

Len

So how many of you have found yourselves trying to improve your score on these video games? Better yet, how many of your kids (like ours) think these games are awesome!!

Brings back memories of the games at Nelson's gas station and Mac's Market....going through lots of quarters!!

Hope you all have a super week!!!

Jamie
Ps. Thanks Steve for all the fun updates you've done!!

Like everybody else I wanted to thank Rex and Steve and everyone else that put the reunion together, it was great.
Now, I would like to address the comments about the speed of our golfing foursome. We weren't slow, we were playing normal speed and savoring our time together. Everyone else needs to learn to slow down, smell the roses and boogy between shots.
I'm thrilled to finally be back in Colon and hope I get to see everybody in the area soon.
Thanks for the great memories, old and new.

I was wondering if anybody was interested in having a class Christmas party? If you're interested let me know and we can start working on it.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

I've talked to a few people and they are interested in getting together for a Christmas Party.
Camille suggested going bowling so we can make it a family thing.
I also thought we could get together at a skating rink in Battle Creek or K-zoo and go to a Chucky Cheese, or something like it, so we could have a place for the kids to play while we can all hang out and talk.
If you're interested or have different ideas let me know so I can get started on making plans.
Hope everybody had a happy Thanksgiving and if I don't see you before, have a Merry Christmas.
Andy

I was hoping to be able to see some friends while back home for Christmas. We'll be driving home this year to bring our puppy. Hoping to be in MI by Christmas Eve and leave the following week...staying in both Kalamazoo and Colon too.
