What did you do after leaving BHS?

Joined the Georgia Army National Guard 12 June 1961 after my Junior year.  Left for active duty on 8 June 1962 (2 days after our graduation) and later retired from the Guard in 1985, after serving 24 years. Meanwhile, married Elva Griner in June 1965, divorced in April 1993.Married Kay W. Lacy of Columbia, MS.  27 July 1996, and moved to Ellaville, Ga.  Received the baptism in the Holy Spirit, 23 Jan 1999, and have been serving the Lord ever since in a variety of ways.  Have participated in a total of 17 different mission trips: to Belieze (twice), Niciargua, Cameroon, and lead missions teams to China, Tawian (three times), Mexico, India, Israel (three times), Orlando,FL (three times), and Vanuatu. Primarily working with missionaries from our Church, the Indian Evangelical Team, Wycliffe Bible Translators, and the Summer Institute of Linguistics.

Favorite School Stories:

Performing in Romeo and Juliette with Pete Young, Guy Bongavoia, Norma Shuff and others.

Going out for Sam Roberts track team but later deciding that making money on my 39 hour a week job was worth more than track practice.

Telling Mr. Boyles to keep his "Study Hall" stuff and get on with the "licks" as I had to be at work in 15 minutes.

Pizza parties at the Villa Nova on Victory Drive.

Being with Mike Ledbetter when he decided to start a fight with several "Columbus High" boys at the Stop & Tell drive-in across the street from the school.

Dream Vacation?

I am living it every day.

In August 2009 Kay and I spent three weeks working with the Wycliffe Bible Translators in Port Vila, Vanuatu, South Pacific. On the way home we spent a week in Nadi (pronouanced Nandy, like Candy with an "N"), Fiji. We stayed at the Aquarius Hostel ( reservations@aquariusfiji.com ) just outside of Nadi. This is an unbelievable piece of paradise that we highly recommend for those who don't mind staying in "private rooms" with a very affordable hostel atmosphere.

Biggest Regret while at Baker?

So many good looking girls to date and so little time.
