Herb Krueger

Herbert T. Krueger, 68, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, after an eight month battle with lung cancer. Herb valiantly fought the ravaging disease and was optimistic until the end. He was born on May 8, 1941 to Elgin A. and Mary Krueger. Herb spent his life in Corpus Christi, and retired from Southwestern Refining after 35 years of service. He was currently working as a consultant for Nalco Chemicals. Herb enjoyed music of all kinds, especially instrumental guitar. He loved working with wood, enjoyed nature, but had a special love of cactus and gourds.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elgin and Mary Krueger; and his beloved Chihuahua, Sugar (Grandpa's little fat one).
He leaves behind to cherish wonderful memories, his wife of 24 years, Juanda Krueger; his children, Suzanne Krueger, Kimberly (John) Denich, Darren Krueger, David Jackson (Kevin Arnold), and Kristy Jackson (fiancé, Marshall Wilkerson); his grandchildren, Reese Gallagher, Chase Gallagher and Thomas Roe; one brother, Joe (Maria) Krueger; and a niece, Sabrina Krueger. He also leaves behind very special friends, Don and Cindy Jackson.
Visitation will be from 1 P.M. until 8 P.M. with the family present from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Thursday, July 2, 2009 in Sawyer-George Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Friday, July 3, 2009 in Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
Pallbearers will be Darren Krueger, John Ross, Rick Baugher, Jose Morales, Dean Davis and Roger Clark.
