I have warm memories of Jerry in High School and afterwards, have one of his paintings in my home and gave others as gifts. He was a unique, talented person. May his family and friends be comforted with their favorite memories of life with him. Christy Baize Cave

Jerry and I were childhood friends, same neighborhood, some Cub Scout group, same church Sunday school, etc.  Even filled the family car at his father's gas pump on Santa Fe.  He was an ideal friend.  I too cherish a water color he did, a Padre Island seascape.  Jerry's gentleness and kindness are fondly remembered.

I am saddened to hear of Jerry's death.  Although I've not had contact with him since high school, I remember him as a kind and constant friend.  Several of you have mentioned having some of his art work.  I do not, but do remember how talented he was.  It is a strange coincidence, but I've been thinking of him recently.  May he rest in peace.  Perhaps he is painting heaven.

Jerry was a friend of mine since elementary school.  I always admired and appreciated his talent.  I too, have a small piece of his work.  He was such a fine person and I am so sorry to hear of his passing.  He made a difference in this world and his work will live on.

Jerry was such a talented artist and a wonderful, sweet and brilliant friend.  I still have the cover of Viva! that he designed.  What a loss to his birth family, life partner and friends.  Hope there will be an exhibit of his work.

I recall Jerry as a kind and pleasant classmate. Very impressive list of accomplishments and recognitions - not surprising considering his early showing of great and sensitive talent.  Regret I did not keep up with him after Ray High days. My sympathies to Jerry's family and many friends.

Jerry Seagle was a very nice and quiet person and you could not help but like and respect him.  He was an excellent artist and he was already an accomplished artist even before he graduated in 1959.   I have dubbed him as the "artist in residence" at Ray HS.   He designed for two years the cover of VIVA!, our literary magazine.   And as long as WBRAY stands, every time anyone enters the school, they will see the marble inset on the floor that Jerry helped design.  Rest ye well, Jerry.

My my condolences to his family.

I remember Jerry Seagle very well, he was one of the most kind friend at that time.  He was quiet and very compassionate.

Congratulations on you enormous accomplishments, so sorry that we never met again.

Rest in Peace, my friend.

I too was saddened to learn of Jerry’s death.  I was in school with him from elementary through high school and always amazed at his artistic gifts.  I called Jerry before our last reunion to encourage him to attend; we had a long chat reminiscing about our early years and I thought that he might come.  Wishing his family and loved ones peace and sweet memories
