I recently sent out an email concerning Relay for Life - a fundraiser to help fight Cancer. I wanted to mention here that one of our own classmates has a child who is battling cancer at this very moment. If you would like to follow Kelsie Karnes you can go to:

http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/kelsiekarnes/mystory

This is the daughter of Tammy Whitfield Karnes. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers. Lets all do our part and help raise money to help fight Cancer.

Thanks -

Taya Brady has recently taken over Fire Station Pottery... If you get a chance, you should go see her. We should support our classmate. :)

Dickson’s Child Advocacy Center, a nonprofit organization, is in need of a medical exam room for physical and/or sexually abuse children who live in the 23rd Judicial District. They currently have to be transported to Nashville. This has been a major inconvenience to these children that have already been traumatized. Some of them have to wait before they can make the trip to Nashville because of transportation issues. Once they arrive, they have to deal with more people they do not know. Most of the time, they have to wait for days before they can even be examined. We all know what that means: Potential Loss of Evidence. With a medical exam room at our Child Advocacy Center, these children can have everything done at one place with people they will already be familiar with. Also once built, this exam room will make a significant difference in the ability to prosecute a large number of cases. If any of you are interested in making a donation please let me know. You can make checks payable to the CAC and write in the For part of your check write medical exam room. By the way, no donation is too small. Thanks! Michelle Hayes 615-533-5742
