Trying to keep my head above the water

1. When a Mini Miss contestant try to give an answer to - "What is your favourite dish and why?" and the whole D'cup team shout "Flowa an ile (flour and oil) poor girl mind went blank. The next contestant was so prepared with her answer to her question "What is your favourite television show and why?", she replied "My favourite television show is Falcon Quest (Crest), I like it because it makes me interest".
2. Mrs Donaldson our English teacher in the 7th grade would sleep for an hour of the 2 hrs class and wake up every now and then to say "Some of you come here like a dumpling and will be leaving like a Johnny cake"
3. Not only did the Arts crew go to Zion, we take it to another level to get comfortable and play domino.
4. Ms Green tried to reprimand me by telling me (in that squeaky voice) that netball is a ladies' game and one of my teammates shouted "Yuh hear that Mannette". She was p.....
5. One local DJ during his performance ( at a concert) said "Sorry people mi jus mek a mistake", now that was his mistake, since you all know how forgiving we were.
