Tjody Lynn Thieret, 51, of Irving, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at 7:17 p.m. at her residence.
Visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 27, at Hough & Son's Funeral Home, Hillsboro from 2 p.m. until the time of memorial services at 4 p.m. The Rev. Ralph Ward will officiate. Burial will be at Bost Hill Cemetery in Fillmore.
Born June 4, 1959, at Hillsboro, she was the daughter of James R. and Phyllis A. (Polston) Whalen. She married James Thieret July 30, 1983 and he survives.
Mrs. Thieret was a 1977 graduate of Hillsboro High School and worked as a medical assistant for Dr. Brian Cady of Hillsboro. She was a master wine maker, enjoyed her pets and was an excellent gardener.
Survivors include her father; a son, Heath Lynn Robertson of Edwardsville; three brothers, Frank (wife Carol) Elam of Coffeen, Butch (wife Jenny) Elam of New Berlin and Ed (wife Teresa) Elam of Baytown, TX; and two sisters, Nancy (husband Mike) Bickel of Tarpon Springs, FL, and Lola Schumann (companion Joe Havins) of Baytown.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 2010; and one son Jason Robertson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Montgomery County Cancer Association.
