Ken C. Christian, 59, of Harrisburg, IL, formerly of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 10:34 a.m. at his residence.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL.  Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL.  Cremation rites were accorded.  Rev. Ralph Ward, Hillsboro, IL, will officiate.

Mr. Christian was born on July 4, 1959, in Hillsboro, IL, to the late George K. and Marlene D. (Collins) Christian. He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, IL and a graduate of Southern Illinois University/Carbondale, Carbondale, IL and worked as a coal miner.  Mr. Christian lived in Hillsboro, IL and Harrisburg, IL.  He married Tamblyn "Tammie" Boone on April 21, 1984 in Hillsboro, IL and she survives in Harrisburg, IL.  Mr. Christian was a member of the Hillsboro High School wrestling team and the All-State Football team in 1977; he was a member of United Mine Workers of America (UMWA); and the neighborhood handyman.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Christian is survived by his children, Olivia Christian (husband Dustin Brown) of Harrisburg, IL and Braden Christian (wife Michelle Varghese) of Lisbon, Portugal; a brother, Kevin (wife Bonnie) Christian of O'Fallon, IL; a sister, Denise Christian of Joliet, IL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charles (wife Mary) Boone, William (wife Maryann) Boone, Rebecca Olroyd, Vincent (wife Vicki) Boone, and Gwen (husband Bob) Frazier; a nephew, Cody (wife Nicole) Christian; a niece, Kelsey (husband Rob) Designe; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Memorials may be given to the donor's choice.
