Tammy Iola Novotny, 60, of Coffeen, IL passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at 4:03 p.m., at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. A Memorial Gathering was held on Friday, July 24, 2020, 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Rev. James Hayes, Pastor of St. James Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL, will officiate.   Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL at a later date.

Ms. Novotny was born on December 1, 1959 to the late Sandra Lea (Sportsman) Lawson.  Ms. Novotny is a 1977 graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL. She married Mark Novotny on June 14, 1979 and he survives in Coffeen, IL.  Ms. Novotny was a ward clerk at the Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro, IL. She had lived in Hillsboro, IL; Worden, IL and Coffeen, IL throughout her lifetime.

Ms. Novotny is survived by her son, Lucas Mark Novotny of Cabot, AR; two grandchildren, Jossilea Taylor DeBardeleben and Rylea Carol DeBardeleben. She was preceded in death by her and mother,  Sandra Lea (Sportsman) Lawson; step father, Arthur Lawson and daughter, Brandi Lea Novotny.

Tammy Laweson Novotny passed away due a massive stroke.
