Elmer Cole

Elmer John "E.J." Cole Jr., 54, Lincoln, passed away Wednesday (6/10/09) at home surrounded by family. He was born on December 21, 1954 in Lincoln, Neb. to Elmer John & Elizabeth Rose (Engel) Cole, Sr. E.J. was employed with the City of Lincoln for 34 years in the Public Works & Utilities Department, Engineering Services. He was the founder of Meadowlark Meadows and active with his children's many activities and served the community as well. E.J. was a loving husband, dad, son, brother, papa and uncle.

Survivors: wife, Jeanie Cole, Lincoln; daughters & sons-in-law, Jessica & Bill Pulte, Omaha; Katie & Mike Holle, Lincoln; Allie Cole, Lincoln; grandchildren: Paige & Trey Pulte; Owen Holle; mother, Betty Cole, Lincoln; sisters & brothers-in-law, Peggy Peterson, Florida; Shirley Bridges, Blair, Neb.; Janet & Jerry Lehfeldt, Oregon; Kay & Bob Borega, Colorado; mother-in-law, Alice Vosika, Lincoln; sister-in-law, Christie Vosika, Texas; 11 nieces & nephews; and many great-nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by: father, Elmer Cole Sr.; & father-in-law, Ron Vosika; brothers-in-law, Vernon Peterson & Loyal "Irish" Bridges.

Funeral Services: 2 p.m. Monday (6/15/09) at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1800 South 84th Street, Lincoln, 68506, with Pastor John Kunze officiating.
