Larry D. Bentson
May 9, 1942 - January 5, 2021
Gladstone, Missouri - Larry David Bentson, 78, passed away on January 5, 2021.
Larry was born to Clarence and Vera in McPherson, KS. After graduating from McPherson HS in 1960, he went on to study Accounting at K-State. After graduation, he spent his life's career in accounting. First with Sears for 27 years, then his own practice for another 27 years, including business manager for Old Mission UMC.
While at K-State, he met Meredith Whitman, they wed in 1965, having two children, Laura and Brian. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, sister Janet and nephew Thomas. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Meredith, of Gladstone; daughter Laura Johannes and husband Phil; grandchildren Jackson and Emma of Parkville; and son Brian, and wife Amy of Park City, Kansas.

Russell Crawford
Larry, Bob Jones, Tom Brennon, Pete Peterson, Larry Schafer, Terry Farnsworth and I were the good guys gang, kind of the opposite on the Black Shirt Gang. We spread good will among all we encountered. I moved to Indiana during our junior year. I lost touch with every one. Some of us reunited at recent reunions but never did catch up with Larry. He was a great friend.Rest well my friend, rest well.

It's been awhile since I've run into Larry and his wife at several breakfast places here in KC. But we would always visit and I'd remind him if we had a reunion coming up, and how we'd love to have them come. My prayers goes with the family as I know first hand the struggle it is. Is that 7 or 8 that have passed since 2020? I believe all turned 78!
Russ, when I saw the Good Gang post I had so many memories myself, and Tom always had fun memories of each of you. Thank goodness you weren't the " black shirt gang". Hadn't heard that expression in a long long time.
