Doc was in geometry class with Dr Tomkins and gym class with Merrick Tomaine. He was always upbeat and funny and I never heard him say anything negative about anybody. He was always a friend in need and could lift your spirits with his humor and great smile even when the going was tough,  like doing duck walks around the upper track in the gym until you collapsed. We used to urge each other on climbing the rope in the gym without using our feet, just upper body strength. Doc was one of the good guys and he will be missed by all who knew him.  Rest in peace Doc.

Frank was a very active member of Sacred Heart Church in Bay Head NJ. When i attended mass Frank and I would chit chat about MHS  etc etc.  We bumped into each other a few other times since we  lived near each other at the shore. The nicest guy ever!!  RIP Frank. xx

I have known Frank since 7th grade. We were always good friends all through school. Frank helped me get my first part time job when we were 18 years old. He attended Paterson State for a semester before entering the navy.  We would ride to school together. He was a good person and I will surely miss him.  Rest in peace my friend..

Just seeing Frank's name brought a smile up from somewhere in the memory bank.  Thinking back, Frank Dockery was one great classmates to be in a classroom with or run into any time, all the time.

Seeing Frank's name posted here brought a picture to mind of a very nice fellow to be around and a good classmate that everyone I knew liked. I am sorry to have been reminded in this way and send my very best wishes to his wife and family.

Frank was my first friend at Montclair High. My parents would drop me off at the corner of Claremont Avenue and Valley Road, and I would walk in to the high school. Frank’s house was on Valley, and with both of us headed to school, we eventually met. Occasionally I’d go into his house, waiting for him to get ready. I remember his quick smile and dry wit. I’m sorry he won’t be at our 60th, except in spirit.

I'll always remember the first time Frank and I were together. We were in the Cub Scouts and my mom was our Den Mother. Frank could be a bit of a bully at times, and would occasionally punch me in the shoulder. I asked my mom what an appropriate response would be, and she sai, "throw him over your shoulder!' I sorta' knew what that meant because I'd seen it in the movies, so the next time he punched me I grabbed his right arm, turned around, and pulled it over my right shoulder, I leaned forward and tried to toss him, but I wasn't that big, and I wasn't that strong, plus my technique was terrible, so all I did was stretch his arm enough to lift his feet off the ground. He started yelling that I was hurting him, so I let him down. He never punched me again, and we remained friends until graduation! I'm sad to know that he's gone.

Frank was a childhood friend of mine. I love driving past his childhood home on Valley Road which is so large it has now been turned into an office building.
