Sadly, having had to miss the reunion, I did not hear of the gravity of Charlie's illness. In fact, when I "stumbled" on his photo just last week in front of the 'Awful Awful' logo sign at a Newport Creamery, I was delighted to see him there and quickly sent a note to his profile. Perhaps when next in Newport, Priscilla and I might look him up I thought. Or Tom and I who love Newport, fishing and 'chefing' might try to get in touch. If only we had known he was at Mt Snow for twenty years! But now Priscilla and I both send our condolences to Charlie's loved ones and will be thankful for our shared memories of a very fun guy and nice classmate as 50 years evaporate momentarily like a will-o-the-wisp and we see a happy youth who, it seems, must have made alot of others happy during that span. Best regards. Diana (Winton)

Charlie gone, wow.  So much to go over and now to late.  Miss him like a brother which he was to me.  Remember like yesterday sitting with him and his Father and Uncle talking about life and what a wonderful place Montclair was to grow up.  That Grove Street home was so familiar to me during High School and even after.  Charlie loved my car the TR3 and bought it when I went into the Marines.  We talkied a lot in the last days and had high hopes we would get together soon.  But death stepped in and dashed our plans.  I toast him and talk to him through the clouds as a sail solo wishing he was with me in person and not just spirt.  I regret not taking the time to be with him in those last days.  He was truly more than a friend he was my brother.

Charlie, at one point, lived in Middletown, NJ, right down the road from us... and owned a jewlery store in Middletown. Charlie, Suellen Horgan, and the Parton's, Trudy and Charlie, all came over to visit us in our new home and we had a wonderful time. He was a very "up" person and a friend to all!!!
