I always liked Eldridge... we had a pleasnt offhand relationship. A very nice guy and I'm sorry that he's gone. R.I.P. Carl Heineck

So sorry to hear that "El" has passed on. We played baseball, basketball and football many a day for hours at a time during our George Washington Elementary  and Glenfield Jr. High days. You could always count on Eldridge to show up and give his all to everything that he did. I remember him as a loyal friend and someone who would give you the shirt off his back without even blinking. If I remember correctly, El was a very fast runner and was a track star at least at Glenfield. I'm not sure how he did at MHS.

He will be missed as a good friend and a very decent person.  Rest in Peace El!

I remember Eldridge from Glenfield and Church.  El was a real good guy and good in math.

El, you are at peace now!

God Bless,

Ed Page

Eldridge sat next to me in Geometry class. My book was old with some torn pages. He used to say “You got a raggedy book.”  We always laughed at that. In my yearbook, he wrote “You had a raggedy book but I hope you don’t have a raggedy life.” He was a nice guy. RIP Eldridge!

Eldridge lived right next door to me on Bay St., building next to ours.  My bedroom window was directly across from his.  I remember all of our BS sessions leaning out of those windows for hours.  Great guy and a wonderful family.  RIP old friend.  My sincere condolences to his entire family for his loss.  He will be missed.

It is wnderful to read the good thought and memories of Eldridge. According to his obit, he was single and living in East Orange, but I remember that he had married at one time and had a couple of kids. He and I attended church at St Marks on Elm Street. I was his guest at graduation in 1959 as I had moved to East Orange and did not graduate with all my Nishuane and Glenfield classmates. That was the nicest thing to do! We hung out a couple of times that summer but I went off to college after that and we lost touch. Rest easy, friend. Alice
