I have memories of going to Peter and Perry's house, they lived right up the street from me in Montclair, on the other side of Watchung Avenue. They had a pet skunk (de-skunked) that I found fascinating as I've always loved animals. I believe we also had a good trading card business going for sometime, too. We went around to neighbors and asked for new ones to update our collection. (I wonder if kids even do that anymore?) Fond memories of the Gesell brothers.
I saw Peter shortly before he passed from ALS when he was honored by the ALS Foundation. We laughed together about our days at Watchung School. Now I am very good friends. with Peters wife Sonia and his children/grandchildren. Peters son Mark is an orthopedic surgeon in Monmouth County. I love telling him how much we loved his dad. Peter has 4 children and 10 grands. xx

We had a lot of good people at MHS... Pete was one of the best.
