Bruce lived across from me at the corner of Gates and Harrison for a few years. We used to play ball at Porter Park. My sharpest recollection of him was when he told me that his aunt, who lived with him, strolled around the house quite naked! I could never verify.
I forgot to add that his dad was the bartender at the Three Crowns, a restaurant under the Clairidge Theater. I saw him a couple of times and he filled me in on what Bruce was doing, but this must have been before he was killed in Vietnam, because I hadn't heard this before reading Carl's note.
I was evidently the recepient of bad information regarding Bruce's death in the Nam. Someone (Tom MacKenzie?)---said that he worked with Bruce years after Viet Nam. My apologies to all, especially Bruce. PS: Bruce was known for some whacky stories!
