Excerpts from obituary: Kathy gained a testimony early in life of her Savior Jesus Christ. She always lived her life as an example and in service to others. She excelled at almost everything, graduating from Orem High in 1989 with Honors. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education from Utah State University with a major in Biology and a minor in Math. She was sealed to Rex Harris on March 24, 1992 in the Jordan River Temple. She had three beautiful daughters and showered them with more love in the short time she had with them then most will feel in a lifetime. Kathy simply enjoyed life. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She simply enjoyed life. Some of her interests included playing the piano, hiking, camping, skiing and kayaking. It has been said of Kathy that those who knew her best, loved her most.

I had the privilege of working with Kathy (or Kayak as we called her) at Camp Cloud Rim the summer of 1990. She was always smiling, always kind, and loved to laugh. I also enjoyed hiking and doing things with her in Unified Studies during the 1989 class year. It was such a sorrowful surprise to learn of her death. I would guess she is still with her children in Spirit. Love you Kathy.
