Where do you live now? Where else have you lived? Have you been back to Korea?

We live in Rexburg, ID. Prior: Rigby, ID; Las Vegas, NV; Tucson, AZ; Salt Lake City; Germany; Springville, UT; Provo, UT. We have wished to go back to Korea enough that it should have happened already but hasn't yet. I did get to teach for a semester in mainland China though.

Do you still see, talk to or hang out with any former missionaries/companions? If so, Who?

I still have contact with Quinn Millington, Chris Andrews, Gib Fisher, and Brad Whitaker regularly. I have had contact with others as well.

Facebook page:

Yes I have one, but don't check it much. I am listed there as Dean Cloward.

Have you created an "I'm a Mormon" page? If so, post the URL

Yes, but I need to update it.

My service to my community/ Church/ or other volunteer service:

I am currently serving with my wife as the 3-4 and 4-5 year-old primary teachers wife in our ward. I have served in six bishoprics, including as Bishop. I have been in almost every role in Young Men both stake and ward, high priest group leader, Sunday school, primary....

What do you like to do in your spare time? Hobbies?

I enjoy alpine skiing, camping, backpacking, gardening, and just about everything outdoors. We love to play games as a family.

Did you go to college? Which college did you attend? How long? Any degrees?

I attended the University of Utah (pre-med)

Brigham Young University (B.A., Economics; B.S., Psychology),

University of Arizona (M.A., Educational Psychology; PHD, Child/School Psychology).

Travel much? Favorite places to visit? Places you want to go?

We have been to Mexico several times, Canada, England, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Austria, and all over the US. On sabbatical, I taught for a semester in mainland China as Jiangsu University. Most of our travels are done locally through and in the Mountains of Idaho and Utah. We love to camp, hike, etc.

Cool things you have done? Famous or interesting people you've met? Brushes with fame?

I was a student body officer at BYU-Provo when Elder Holland was president. As the assistant Dean of Students at BYU-Idaho, I worked with Elder Bednar. They are as genuine and wonderful in person as you get to see from the pulpit. Wonderful men.

Favorite Korean food:

Bi Bim Pap; Ojingo Pogum; Chap Chae; ManDu; Bul Kogi; and much more. I miss the food. I have taught my whole family not only to love the food too, but to cook it as well.

Favorite Korean memories:

I have many of them. I remember serving in the temple with Elder Millington, building a Christmas tree from hangers and tinsel with Elder Paulson, dancing/running through a mansoon rain with Elder Holt... I have so many that I could not even prioritize them. I could name several with each companion. I loved my mission and I had the best companions. I have often wished I could go back to that time. As each child left on a mission I wanted to leave with then as a companion. I have dreams about being called back as a missionary to Korea. Maybe someday with my wife...

Future plans, goals, Accomplishments, Bucket List:

A sabbatical to India to teach in New Delhi

Hey. How are you? I am glad you joined. If you are the same sister Wright, then you were in my MTC group with Sharp, Fisher, and Lee. I also work with Sister Bassett from our mission. Email me back (clowardr@byui.edu)

Reading your posts. We all have children doing the same things. My oldest is home from a mission, married with one-year-old twins. My second just got home from a mission and is headed to BYU, and my third is at BYU-Idaho. Sure would be fun if they all bumped into each other! We all need to go to the next reunion and connect again there.
