Paula Gray Jardine

After high school, I played Volleyball and Basketball at Dixie College where I met my husband, who also played basketball. We were married in August of 1989 and went to Utah State University. After Rich completed a degree in Business Information Systems and began working for Novell in Provo, I went back to school at UVU (then UVSC) and completed a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature (Thanks, Mr. Larsen), raised our five children and somehow managed to squeeze a St. George Marathon in there. After five painful hip surgeries (I wouldn't recommend this...) my running days were over. We bought a ski boat and now spend as much time as possible on a lake, any lake. I coach a Club volleyball team for Club Utah at Flash Factory by Thanksgiving Point from January to May and drive kids around. Jaron (19) is currently serving an LDS mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He gained 30 lbs. in the MTC, so he's now 6'3" and a whopping 158 lbs.Jessica (18) does school and volleyball (she's 6'+). She signed a National Letter of Intent to play Volleyball this upcoming year for BYU. Hayden (born on the 4th of July, 1995) does Ballroom and scouts. Nathan (12, but already 5' 5") loves piano (because I said so) and hugging his mom, which I love also. He could be the first 7-footer on the planet that can't catch a basketball, but we're working on it. Lauren (7) is the wild child of the family. She plays piano, volleyball and Barbies.
When I'm not driving kids around, watching ballroom competitions or volleyball matches, working at the elementary school or traveling with Rich, I teach English Literature at American Fork High School. Love it!
