After graduation, I left Tampa for Nashville, TN to attend David Lipscomb College earning a BS in Elementary Education. My desire to do further work in gifted education led me to Chattanooga, TN, where I earned a Masters from UTC in Exceptional Education and worked in the Chattanooga City/ Hamilton County schools, in various positions, teaching all subjects & ages k-8, MR-gifted for 17 years. I recently earned an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum & Instruction from NOVA University.
I currently work as an Inclusion teacher at Rossville Middle School in Walker County, Ga. I sing each week with our praise team at Clear Creek Church of Christ.
I was a stay-at-home mom for 10 years after giving birth to Brian (car salesman), Daniel (just graduated with a teaching English degree), & Michelle (2yrs college so far). Their father & I divorced after 17 years together.
Ten years ago, I met & married Jerry, an auto mechanic, & become step-mom to his 4 boys. Jerry,Jr (in army in Kuwait/Germany) & his wife, Julie have a 2-yr old girl-Caysin, Jerad (Atlanta police officer), Jacob (army MP, in Seattle) & his wife Tiffany are expecting, & Levi (in middle school & the only one left at home).
We now have several empty rooms if you're traveling through- I love company!
My husband & I have 2 dogs- Ace & Duke. We like to take short trips and scenic drives.
When my parents retired they sold their house in Lutz & moved, 1st to Murphy, NC (2hrs away) and then recently just 15 minutes from us.
So many of our classmates seem to be "missing". It sure would be great to hear what everyone has been doing!
