Attended USF & HCC for 1 year; Started 24 year career in retail in 1979 with Eckerd Drugs, also worked with Sports Unlimited, The Radiant Group LLC, Kmart, and Dollar General, holding various titles & responsibilities at the mid & senior management levels covering territories as small as part of Tampa to as big as the southeast US including Puerto Rico & the Virgin Islands.
Married my lovely wife Margie in October 1980, started our family in May 1982 with the arrival of A.J., added to the family with the arrival of Jackie in December 1984.
Coached youth baseball at Forest Hills for 10 years as well as served on the board of directors; also coached at Citrus Park Little League for a year; started up the American Legion summer baseball program for Sickles HS in 1997 and was named the head assistant coach for Sickles in the fall of 1997; left the coaching fraternity after the spring 2000 season to focus on watching my son play collegiately and my daughter play softball at Sickles and in college.
Diagnosed with a neurologic condition in 2003 that is slowly taking away my strength and feeling sensation throughout my left-side. Became retired/disabled in summer of 2003.
Now I spend my time gardening on our acre of land in Wesley Chapel, exercising almost daily, looking after our 4 grandchildren when needed, maintaining our house while my wife continues working, reading, watching movies, sleeping (thanks to all the medications), enjoying walks with our 8 year old Finnish Spitz named Rocco, and whatever else is necessary.
