Debbie Lee (Cermak) VIEW PROFILE

CERMAK, Debra Lee, 52, passed away unexpectedly on December 21 2011 surrounded by her loving family and devoted friends. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Bill and Helen Lee, sister Linda Smith and great-niece Naomi Tidwell. Debbie is survived by Paul, her husband of 34 years, daughter Lauren Aubrey (fiancée Jackson Allen) and son Chase Matthew; sisters Lori Lee and Sherry Murphy (Gerard) and brother Larry Lee; father and mother-in-law Paul and Becky Cermak, sister-in-law Liz Sismilich (Chris), brothers-in-law Scott Cermak (Debbie) and Robbie Smith, stepmother Deaney Lee and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends who were blessed to know her. She worked for many years as an RN at Memorial Hospital of Tampa before leaving to join Bausch & Lomb as a vitreo-retinal specialist. She made many friends and helped many people wherever she went. She gave thanks every day for her wonderful family, friends and colleagues. Debbie's generosity, joyful nature and caring spirit touched many lives. Those who met her were inspired by her zest for life. She opened their eyes to life's simple joys including music, books, Dunkin Donuts coffee and the BunBill, the family cabin in Maine, as well as to the most profound joy of knowing the sanctifying grace of Jesus Christ. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28 from 4-8 pm at Blount & Curry Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Ave., Tampa. A joyful celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, December 29 at 9:30 am at Tampa Covenant Church, 13320 Lake Magdalene Blvd., Tampa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Trinity Café of Tampa or Metropolitan Ministries.
