In Memory

Carol Ritter Graham

Carol Lynn Graham, 76, of Inverness, FL, formerly of Longmont, CO, passed away on Tuesday, October 26 at Citrus Memorial Hospital on the 28th anniversary of the passing of her late, first husband and father of her four children, Michael Slusher.
Carol is survived by her best friend and husband of 27 years, David Graham. Together, they shared a love of traveling, boating, and going to beaches up and down the east coast with their beloved dog Luci.
Her favorite thing of all was to visit their combined families in Colorado, Idaho, Maryland and New York.
Well-known for her selfless heart, Carol gave of herself and her time to many charities and causes. She had Luci trained to be a service dog and together they would visit the sick and elderly. She was active in her church and loved to volunteer in her community, serving as a hospice volunteer and working on several disaster relief crews as a cook. Carol loved gardening, quilting, knitting and sewing, often creating items for charity. She sewed hundreds of masks to donate during the early days of the pandemic. She enjoyed walking and cycling the trails near their home in Inverness, and could always be counted on to help out in her community wherever she was needed.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Anne Ritter, her first husband Mike Slusher and her son Mark Slusher. In addition to her husband Dave, she is survived by her sisters Nancy Rockwell and Marti Catalfano (Bob), her children Matt Slusher (Dawn), Michelle Slusher (Gina), and Melissa McPherson (Charles), stepchildren Lisa Nelson (Mark), Cindy Garcia (Gabe) and John Graham (Joan). Her heart was filled with 15 grandchildren and 8 beautiful great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She loved her family so much and will be missed by all.
A memorial for friends and family will be held at Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church in Lecanto, FL on December 3 at 10:00 am, followed by a private internment service with immediate family at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Memorial donations may be made in her honor to the American Heart Association(www.heart.org/aha/donate) or Calvary Chapel Church in Ontario, OR (www.ccontario.com).

How sad to hear of Carol's passing. I am sorry I didn't know she may have been ill.  I would have liked to have had one last Hello with her.  Maybe she is listening, somewhere!  To her husband and children, my sincere condolences.  Carol was a wonderful person, friend, wife, mother, human being.  May my wonderful friend, Carol, Rest-In-Peace for evermore.  With Love, Rod

I remember Carol from our Troy High School Days. She wasone of thw many girls that helped with the artworks that lined the granit walls of our school.

What bothers me at this time , we are all growing older. I would very much to communicate with many of my former classmates but it is difficult to acquire addresses,

Through all elementary and middle school, Carol lived right across the street.  I enjoyed playing "Simon Says" on her front lawn, swimming in her swimming pool and those end of summer vacations when the whole street spent the week at the Connecticut Shore.  Although Carol never knew it, she was my first middle school crush.  Carol, rest with Jesus, my good friend.
