I was married during my last year of college at St. Rose, and completed my B.S. in chemistry. My husband's career brought us to Somerville, NJ, then Buffalo Grove, Ill, on to Lenox, MA , Marietta, GA and finally to the lovely town of Dalton, MA. I was fortunate to be home and raise our three children, busy with many volunteer activities. In 2014, we sold our home of 27 years (despite not being on the market), and moved 5 miles further into Hinsdale, MA, into a lovely home on Ashmere Lake. We are enjoying the kayaking, water views, and peaceful surroundings, still only 20 minutes from the center of Pittsfield.
When Bob returned to GE Plastic Headquarters in Pittsfield,MA in1988, I began a 17 year career helping people from all over the world and this country relocate to the Berkshires, as relocation coordinator for GE. A wonderfully rewarding job, working with hundreds of people, many remaing good friends, scattered all over.
We have both been retired for 10 years, enjoying the time to travel, and especially to be a greater part of our children's and grandchildrens lives. Our son Phil and his family are in Vergennes, VT, Melissa and family on Cape Cod, and Ben and family outside Orlando. We now have 8 lovely grandchildren, ranging in age from 4 to 17.
We love the Berkshires with the all the opportunities for outside adventures, skiing, snowshowing, hiking, and all the great cultural opporturnities. And now we have more time to enjoy them all. The last 4 winters, we have spent over 3 months in Sarasota , FL, helping my 90 year old mother escape the CT winter.
So glad to connect again with so many friends from so long ago.

Hobbies

Walking, reading, kayaking, swimming, beach and spending time with friends and family, especially the grandchildren. We have also been fortunate to travel fairly extensively, both in the US and around the world.

It is with sadness that I would like to write a few words about Bob. I am so sorry that he suffered so much with his cancer, a courageous fighter and great optimist, surrounded by loving family and friends.I know he felt that our THS years were some of the happiest of his life, and I am grateful that we were able to stay in contact. Thank you, Ed, for setting up the THS site that made contact possible with so many classmates. And thanks to all the classmates who made the 50th class reunion possible, so Bob and so many of us could gather and meet as adults. I knew Bob as a super smart and always curious classmate, who made me laugh harder than any other friend. He always had a big smile, and had the same big smile and happy nature at the reunion. I will miss trading texts with him, as I miss so many who have passed out of our lives, but not our hearts. From Bob's obiturary, we can see how he touched so many others throughout his life.

Yes, Bob, my first real boyfriend. And we were lucky enough to have a long friendship. He would drop by my house for years, and all my brothers remember him. When we moved to Marrietta, GA I literally ran into his wife, Sharon, and we had a few years of having our children know each other.  Our youngest son,Ben, attended Bill's Hitting Camp! Bill was the baseball coach at the local HS then. What fun for our boys to play ball together. I recently saw his daugther, Kristen, at our 50th HS reunion, since she came with him on that trip. And less than two weeks ago she called to give me the terrible news that Bill was dying, and asked if I would  like to talk with him.  On no medications, always active, he had a massive stroke and Kristen had been with him the whole time and he was home. HIs brother Ronnie had just arrived so I spoke with them all. And Bill heard me and raised his hand to let me know he knew I was talking with him. He could not talk. And I rambled about the good times we had, and how I know he was such a positive influence on so many children throughout his years of teaching and coaching, and what a good man he was in so many ways. Anyone on the yearbook committee knew how hard I fought to have Bill's picture as the divider for the sports section. So I told him about the only battle I fought for him. It was one of the hardest phone calls I ever made....At our reunion he said he was the caregiver for his only son, Tyler.

I have stayed in touch with Kristen, and will try to attend Bill's memorial whenever it is planned. Kristen plans to visit me.

So all of you stay safe and well. My best to you and your families.
