If you could rewrite your "senior will," what would you bequeath or advise to your high-school self today?
I bequeath this information to all future students:
this is the time of your life that you will remember even when you are old, make it the best that it can possibly be, learn everything that you possibly can - reading, writing - if you can read then the world belongs to you, nothing can be hidden from you, you can learn everything that you could ever possibly want to know; if you can write - then you can share what you learn with others.
People - don't forget other people - they are just like you - with dreams, hopes, fears, struggles - be as kind as you can possibly be to everyone - everyone.
Advice to myself - forget practical - don't spend time on things that you don't love - it will make you very unhappy in the long run - working at things that deaden the soul for endless years. Dream, create, love, explore, don't fear - take that leap of faith. Trust that God gave you certain gifts for a reason - don't let them die from disuse or despair. If you do what you love then you will love what you do and it will never feel like work - because it will instead be dreams coming true.
