Mary Colleen Tabor VIEW PROFILE

 WICKLIFFE – There will be prayers at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home  and a Resurrection Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic Church  for Mary Colleen Tabor, 59, who passed away Wednesday morning at Hospice House. On Oct. 1, 2011, at 1 p.m. there will be a Memorial service for her at the Fellowship United Church of Christ, 30040 Ridge Road, Wickliffe, OH 44092.

Mary was born May 1, 1952, in Youngstown, the daughter of Leonard Earl and Margaret J. Murphy Tabor.

She was a 1970 graduate of Cardinal Mooney, afterwards joining the Army, where she received her LPN degree in nursing and served 20 years in the military. After leaving the service, Mary became a registered nurse at Kent State University.

Mary belonged to the Fellowship United Church of Christ in Wickliffe. She was a member of American Legion Post No. 7 and served as past commander of the Women’s Auxiliary.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her brother, Leonard M. “Butch” Tabor and sister-in-law, Susan Tabor of Crawfordville, Fla.; two nieces, Maeghan Tabor of Bonham, Texas and Kerin Vicers of Fort Gains, Ga.; two nephews, Douglas Tabor of Crawfordville, Fla. and Patrick Tabor, serving in Iraq; and friends, Sherry Hester of Virginia and Dorothy Solick of New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

Material tributes can be made in Mary’s memory to Hospice House, 9802 Sharrott Road, Poland, OH 44514.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Fox Funeral Home.

Burial will be at a later date at Arlington Cemetery in Washington, D.C.
