Tom Stafford dug up some interesting information about Beach School -
"Beach School is named after the Beach family--also why the area is called Beach Cliff and why there is a street called Beach Cliff Blvd. At Erie and Detroit there are still pillars on each side of the road the marks the entrance to the Beach Estate which is what most of Beach Cliff used to be a part of. It was subdivided in the 1920's, I think and the Beach mansion was on the lake but is now gone."
