Gerald "Joe" Falgout passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at home surrounded by family and friends.

Gerald was born in New Orleans, LA on August 30, 1946 and had been a resident of Ocean Springs, MS for the last 20 years. He graduated from West Jefferson High School, located in Harvey, LA, in 1965 and retired as a Master Sergeant from the US Air Force on October 1, 1985. During his 20 years of military service, he was stationed in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970 for the Vietnam War, and was also stationed at numerous bases in the US, Europe and Asia. Gerald continued working in the field of aviation after retiring and found himself at Keesler AFB, MS, Lincoln, NE, and Madison, MS. He loved fishing and bass were his favorite. He had a love for the game of soccer and never missed a game his children played. Gerald also became a coach and referee of the game he loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clayton J. and Clemence Falgout, sister Dorothy Lala, and his father-in-law and mother in-law John and Mildred Dyer.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years Loretta "Lori" Falgout, son Justin Falgout, and daughter Rebecca Falgout. He is also survived by his sisters Frances (Sidney) Bourg and Anna (Frank) Ybarbo, brothers Donald (Nettie) Falgout, Ronald (Ruby) Falgout and Danny (Sue) Falgout along with numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 28, from 11 am ~ 12 noon, with a 12 noon Memorial Service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
