Danny Ray Nicholas, 59 of Cisco passed away Friday December 19, 2008 at Abilene Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday December 22, 2008 at Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Chris Hogan with burial in Murray Cemetery in Carbon. Visitation will be 3:00-5:00 PM on Sunday.

Danny was born in Gorman, Texas on November 9, 1949 to Thomas Jefferson and Jimmie Mae (Hogan) Nicholas. He worked for Texas Plastics in Midland, Texas where he was a supervisor, he was a Baptist.

He was an avid bowler and was a former member of the Abilene Junior Bowling Association. Danny was a talented artist.

He was a devoted son and brother and the light of his family?s life. Having been deaf from birth, ?he can now hear?. We will miss his sweet disposition and sense of humor and he will be in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his mother, Jimmie Kinard of Cisco; brothers, Don Nicholas and wife Mary of San Antonio; sister, Betty Diane Bowden of Eastland; step brother, Roger Kinard and wife Macy of Graham; nephews and niece, Tommy Bowden, Dusty Bowden, Derrick Nicholas, Jesse Cavazos and Lindsay Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his father Tommy Nicholas and stepfather Royce Kinard and brother-in-law, Kent Bowden.
