Esther Sitchler Enos

I married early on to an airman at Dyess, we had our first born Chris and then a daughter Alice who sadly died of a congenital heart defect at the age of 6 months. Tragedy struck again when my husband was killed 6 months later.
I went to nursing school and remarried. We had my two other children and stayed in the Air Force until he retired. We moved back to Abilene after having served in North Carolina, Okinawa Japan, and Oklahoma.
Children grown, I divorced him .
Stupidly remarried much too soon and am now happily single.
I am day charge nurse at Sears Methodist Assisted Living. The old folks are fun to be with and is a fertile ground to find old school mates who have relatives there.
I live in Potosi , just me and my cat Kubota and dog Mickey.

Going to school was something I did because I was supposed too. I played tennis and worked in the attendance office. I remember not being allowed to wear slacks to school and freezing to death waiting for them to open the doors while the north wind blew up our skirts!
I was sent home once for wearing my skirt too short! Actually it was the same length as everyone elses but because I was tall it looked shorter.
I still know all the words to the fight song and alma mater. And much to the chagrin of my children, Matt and Esther both graduated from CHS, will belt them out.

I have a front page ARN photo of my daughter Esther and I at an early '90's CHS- AHS football game both with our mouths open screaming for the Cougars.

I recently found my '68 Talisman. What a blast.
