FARMERS BRANCH, TEXAS -- James Garfield Conlan, age 54, a direct descendent of President James A. Garfield, died suddenly on Wednesday, January 24, 2007.

Memorial service to be held on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 4 pm at North Dallas Funeral Home.

Jamie was a 1971 Abilene Cooper High School graduate and attended McMurry College.

James is predeceased by his parents, Alicia Garfield Conlan and James F. Conlan, Jr.

Jamie is survived by: stepmother, Nancy L. Conlan; brother, Michael and wife, Nita, of Seattle, Washington; brother, Pete and wife, Pamela, of Houston; nieces, Ashley Conlan of Baltimore and Erica Conlan of Charleston, SC; Also survived by William H. Conlan of East Falmouth, MA; Edward and Louisa Garfield Browne of Concord, MA;

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the James A. Garfield National Historic Site, c/o WRHS, 10825 East Blvd, Cleveland, Ohio 44106 would be appreciated.
