Born in Abilene, Texas on October 14, 1952, she loved her horse, Scooter, and her beloved pets, Reno, Safari, Chris, and the many other pets that have gone on before her. Trish was beautiful both to the eye and in her soul. She was a true free spirit. She was Abilene's Junior Miss in the late 60's. She attended St. Joseph Academy and Central Catholic Schools before graduating from Cooper High School in 1971. For college, she attended North Texas State University and Texas Tech University, studying nutrition, which remained a life-long interest. One of her greatest joys was teaching her daughters how to cook. She was passionate about all that she did, especially when it came to her daughters. Seven years ago, Tricia met and married the love of her life. She and Hank found in each other their true soul mate. Tricia is the daughter of Dr. Dale and Lucille Johnson of Abilene, wife of Hank Miller, mother of Emily Rudd and Kristen Rudd Villavicencio and her husband Steven, sister of Carol Ann Strickland and her husband Steve, Ginger Sanda, and Frank Johnson and his wife Rebecca Kalafut Johnson, plus nephews Mark and Kevin Strickland and Bobby Johnson, and nieces Taylor Strickland and Meghan Sanda Schlotterbeck and her husband Mark. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 25, at 11 AM in Austin at the Austin Memorial Park and Cemetery on Hancock Drive officiated by Dr. Bob Lively. Tricia wanted any donation in her memory to go to Animal Trustees of Austin, Hospice Austin, Rescue the Animals in Abilene or a charity of your choice.
